Off the top of my head, the daily routine that I enjoy is playing badminton.

Because a friend invited me to join their badminton group, and I quickly realized how much I enjoyed it.

As for whether it’s easy to keep/ stick to 坚持做/ continue, I would say yes.

Because although my schedule can get busy with classes, projects, and studying, setting aside specific times for badminton helps me manage my time better. Plus, having friends who play with me keeps me motivated to stick to it.

On top of that, the reason why I am a big fan of/ I am addicted to/ I can’t live without this routine is because it provides a perfect escape from the academic pressures of being a computer science student.

When I play badminton, I feel excited and happy, and it helps me relax. It’s a great way to stay physically fit and also serves as a social activity where I can catch up with friends. Overall, this routine not only keeps me active but also improves my mental well-being, making it an essential part of my life.

I gotta say, I was so amazed by the talk with him:

We first talked about his incredible knowledge of various board games. He shared fascinating stories about playing chess, Go, Five in a Row, and Chinese chess, detailing some of the most challenging matches he had played and the different strategies he employed.

  • Why you missed/were late for it
  • And explain how you felt about this experience

Off the top of my head, I would like to talk about a time I was late for an interview for a peer mentor program in my university.

So… this happened when I was applying to be part of the peer mentor program at my university.

Basically, this interview was important to me because being a peer mentor would allow me to help incoming students transition to university life, provide academic guidance, and foster a supportive community. It was a chance to develop my leadership and communication skills while making a positive impact on others. I would say it was pretty much a big deal.

Speaking of which, just a few days before the interview, I unfortunately contracted COVID-19. I started experiencing symptoms like fever and fatigue, which made it difficult for me to prepare for the interview and focus on the tasks at hand.

So, one thing led to another, and I had to quarantine myself at home to recover and prevent spreading the virus to others. As a result, I was unable to attend the interview in person and ended up being late for the scheduled time.

As a result, I missed the chance to participate in the peer mentor program that year.

Overall, the experience taught me the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of unexpected challenges. I learned to prioritize my health and find alternative ways to pursue my goals, such as applying for the program again in the future once I had fully recovered.
